BMW's new car launch schedule in India - Autos - Cars

<p>In a bid to retain its top position in the Indian market, Germany luxury car maker BMW is planning to launch as many as 20 new car models in the country in the next four years. It seems like the German auto giant has learnt a lesson or two from its arch rival Mercedes Benz that has snatched the top position from BMW in the Indian market by launching a series of new cars in the country. BMW is now planning to roll-out a car in every segment in the country so that it can, not only enhance its foot prints in the country but also boost its market share considerably. The company is leaving no stone unturned in making sure that it captures maximum possible segment of cars and has presence in every price segment.</p>

<p>The company has geared-up to launch two new car models by the end of this year in the Indian market that comprise of BMW 5-series and BMW X3. With this, the company is planning to launch three new cars in the Indian market by the next year including BMW 6-Series Coupe, Convertible and new 1-Series 5-door hatchback. The cars that will be rolled-out in the country by year 2012 include BMW Grancoupe, Redesigned version of BMW 1-Series convertible and coupe, BMW 3-Series Sedan and Touring, new BMW M6 Coupe and Convertible. Year 2013 will witness the launch of a range of new BMW cars in the Indian market including some new Megacity range of vehicles like Electric Supercar, BMW 3-series GT and a smaller roadster under Z4.</p>

<p>So far, in year 2010, the company has launched some of its much awaited cars in the Indian market including BMW F10 5-Series sedan and BMW 8-Speed automatic standard across range.In a bid to retain its top position in the Indian market, Germany luxury car maker BMW is planning to launch as many as 20 new car models in the country in the next four years.
