Popular cars launched in last quater - Autos - Cars

<p>Indian auto market is suffer from the poorest of the season. Despite of sluggish growth in Indian car market many of the domestic as well as globally recognized auto giants has rolled out their super car models in the Indian auto industry. In the past few months Indian roads are sizzled with many cars starting from hatchbacks to small saloons and even big sports utility vehicle. Domestic auto biggie Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) has introduced its all new sporty SUV XUV 500 in Indian auto market. Within the ten days of launch, Mahindra XUV 500 compile over 8000 bookings, making the SUV one of the most successful car in the recent past. This overwhelming response from car buyers forced car-maker to shut down the advanced bookings of the XUV 500 to cope up with the orders at hand. Company officials has recently announced that bookings for XUV 500 will recommence from January 2012.</p>

<p>Another car which continuously writes success story in Indian sedan segment is Nissan Sunny. Initially company has launched Sunny sedan with petrol engine, but after observing the increasing demand for diesel cars in India company has introduced Nissan Sunny Diesel in India. Car is available in three different variants and top two models are also available in diesel as well as in petrol version. The diesel car is powered by a 1.5 liter, 4 cylinder K9K engine which belts out 86 PS of maximum power and offers an impressive mileage of 21.64 Km a liter. The newly launched Sunny sedan comes loaded with various safety features such as anti-lock braking system (ABS), electronic brake-force distribution (EBD), brake assist (BA), engine immobilizer and airbags.</p>

<p>The hatchback segment of the country also saw many new car launches like Hyundai EON and Honda Brio. Country's second largest car maker, Hyundai India has rolled out its most important project, EON in the Indian auto industry to compete against the Maruti Alto, which has been the highest selling small car in India for long, long time. Car got great response from car buyers and recorded a high number of bookings. Additionally company is also planning to introduce LPG variant of EON in Indian automotive segment. The Japanese auto brand in India, Honda India has also launched its classy and cheapest small car in India to improve its market value. Brio got great applaud from car admirers in country and doing well for the company.</p>
