<p>The year 2011 has witnessed a large number of new car launches in the Indian car market. The new car launched in the every segment. At very first the home grown SUV king Mahindra and Mahindra has launched its most anticipated world SUV, Mahindra XUV 500. The SUV giant tagged the very competitively as it is available at Rs 10.80 lakh (ex showroom Delhi). The new SUV follows the same platform of its popular SUV Mahindra Scorpio. This new SUV of Mahindra is available in manual transmission. Since after its launch the SUV gets an overwhelming response and records a significant number of bookings in a very short span of time. Now company is looking to launch a new variant of the SUV with automatic gearbox. The reasons behind this automatic variant launch is the possibility to export the new SUV to the foreign markets where automatic transmission is a must like Europe,South America and Australia.</p>

<p>After this SUV, the German giant Skoda has launched its sedan Skoda Rapid during a grand function at a deluxe venue in the capital city. The three variant of the sedan are in the market viz Skoda Rapid Active, Skoda Rapid Ambition and Skoda Rapid Elegance. All the three variant are available in both petrol and diesel engines. As for Skoda Rapid price the sedan is available at Ts 6.75 lakhs. However the diesel versions are more costly and price starts from Rs 7.95 lakh. As everybody knows that the new car Skoda Rapid looks like VW Vento. On contrary to it the Skoda Rapid price is kept under Volkswagen Vento.</p>

<p>The hatchback segment is also flourishing equally like sedan and SUV's. In this segment the Japanese giant Honda has launched its hatchback Honda Brio. The starting price of Honda Brio is Rs 3.95 lakh that raise up to Rs 5.1 lakh for its top end model. Technically the hatch Honda Brio is powered by a 1.2 Liter i-VTEC petrol engine that produces the maximum power of 88 bhp and a peak torque of 109 Nm.</p>

<p>The other hatchback which is newly launched in the market is also by a Japanese auto company but an another one. Toyota has rolled out the diesel variant Toyota Etios Liva at a starting price of Rs 5.54 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). As for new Toyota Etios Liva diesel specifications, the new hatchback is powered by a 1.4 Liter D-4D engine that produces the power of 67 Bhp and a peak torque of 170 Nm.</p>

<p>To keep the competition alive in the diesel car segment Chevrolet has also launched the diesel variant of Chevrolet Beat at the starting price of Rs 4.29 lakh (ex showroom Delhi) and rises up to Rs 5.45 lakh for the top variant.</p>
