Hyundai Motors to launch 6 new cars in next three years - Autos - Cars

<p>Hyundai Motors one of the largest manufacturer is all set to expand the brand wagon they own in India upto 6 new cars in the coming three years time. The South Korean auto giant in India wishes to take the advantage of the lucrative domestic auto market and stronghold its position. Hyundai also plans to spend Rs 200 crore in the coming five years time on promotions and advertisement. The company has also started working on the same as it is the official sponsor for the cricket's biggest event ICC World Cup (International Cricket Council). Arvind Saxena, Director Marketing and Sales- Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) stated that from the beginning of this year the South Korean auto company is planning to launch atleast two car models yearly in the next three years.</p>

<p>If looking at the domestic auto market Hyundai scores the 2nd position after Maruti Suzuki in the domestic auto market. Though, Mr Saxena did not disclose about the further development of the company. However, he further added the auto giants plans the company will focus on the advertisement and promotions which will commence from the ICC world cup starting from 19 February, 2011. The company's Indian arm HMIL will be official sponsor for the ICC world cup and the Hyundai Motor Co in South Korea will look after the other event internationally for 5 five years from 2011 to 2015. Mr Saxena also stated that the auto company wishes to increase the brand image in the world cup.</p>



<p>Among its winning portfolio of cars Hyundai plans to use some of its selected car models for transportation of the VIPs, Players, Officials and various other dignitaries. The cars they will use are Hyundai i10, Hyundai Santa Fe , Hyundai Sonata Transform, Hyundai Verna.</p>



<p>Mr Saxena further revealed that Hyundai is planning to increase the sales of the company to 6.3 lakh units against this years sales of 6 lakh for the year 2010. When quizzed about the auto giants plans to further expand in the international auto market he replied that in the last year the auto company exported sales of 2.47 lakh car. Currently it holds a strong position in 115 markets and does not to wish to enter a new auto market.</p>
