Since after its launch in Thailand on March 17, 2011, the Indian buyers were eagerly waiting for it. for its base variant starts from Rs 3,95,000 and rise up to Rs 5,10,000. it is the cheapest and most affordable car of Honda in India. Honda Brio is a small hatchback designed very superiorly with elegant exteriors and comfortable interiors. Technically Honda Brio is powered by a 1.2-litre, i-VTEC petrol engine with 4 cylinder 16 valves and Single overhead camshaft (SOHC) that churns out the power of 88 PS @ 6000 rpm (MT) and top torque of 109 Nm @ 4600 rpm. With such a powerful engine the car returns a mileage of 18.4 kmpl.</p>

<p>The second card on the table is the Korean giant Hyundai has come up with its new Hyundai Eon in the Indian market. With this car Hyundai has initiated the price war in the small car segment with the price tag of Rs 2.69 lakh for its base variant. In terms of technical terms the Hyundai Eon comes packed by a 814cc, 3 cylinder petrol engine that produces top power of 56 bhp @ 5,500 rpm and 76 Nm of maximum torque @ 4,000 rpm. As per ARAI the hatchback delivers the fuel efficiency of 21 kmpl on Indian roads.</p>

<p>At last but not the least the Japanese auto major introduced the diesel avatar of its hatchback Toyota Etios Liva. The price of Toyota Etios Liva diesel in India begins at Rs 5.54 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi). The hatch get the power by a 1197 cc, 3NR-FE, Gasoline, 4-Cylinder 16V, DOHC engine that delivers the power of 80 PS while generates the peak torque of 104 Nm that assures the fuel efficiency of 18.31 kmpl in petrol version.</p>
